I’m not sure that anyone even reads this blog, but just in case, here’s a lightning update on what’s going on in my life so my future posts make some sense:

We got an Olde English Bulldogge puppy back in July of 2017. Her name is Idgie, and she’s now 14 months old. Except for a predisposition to jump on people, she is perfect, funny and sweet. Also, we sold the house in Florida and moved to Vermont. We bought 279 acres in Dorset, almost all wooded except for a 7 acre clearing/meadow (for now called the Forest of Solitude). We will be building a house on the hill, (referred to as Hill House), a barn and workshop with a future apartment on top (the Barn), and an old hunting cabin/cottage at the driveway of our property on a creek that we will be living in while we build, then renting out (Creek Cabin) .We are currently renting a house from Bob, the lovely fellow who sold us the land, who will also be our neighbor. The rental house is called the Ash House.

So, this post might ease the confusion of posts going from alligators to maple syrup. Lots to blog about!
